If you complete an activity where no sign-in sheet is available, you should submit a professional development activity form. This form must be completed by you and signed by your supervisor. | Question: How do I request funding to attend a conference, seminar, or a training opportunity? | | | You may pick up a request for funding packet at the Professional Development office in W-127A . You will need to complete the funding request and submit it to Christa Jones in the Professional Development office in W-127A at least three weeks before your activity. | Question: How many Professional Development hours will I need for this year? | | | For the 2009-2010 year, 30 hours are required. The point system is no longer required. | Question: How much funding will I get from Professional Development? | | | Funding is limited to $500.00 per individual for the academic year. Team activities are limited to $1000.00 per academic year. | Question: What if I want to offer a training session for professional development? | | | Providing professional development training is encouraged. As questions are received and resolved, they will be posted on the website for others review. | Question: Why do I have to participate in professional development activities? | | | Professional Development activities are designed to provide training opportunities for faculty and staff while cultivating the potential of all employees. In addition, professional development encourages cross cultural enhancemet. This is a mandatory program for all full-time employees. |
