  GENERAL |    Who is the Learning Skills Center for? | | | The Learning Skills Center is for you, the currently enrolled MVC student. |    What does the Learning Skills Center offer? | | | The LSC offers tutoring in various subjects including math, English, reading, writing, grammar, GED and THEA prep, ESL, and study skills. |    Where is the Learning Skills Center and when is it open? | | | The LSC is located in W170 near the library and is open seven days a week. Hours vary during different semesters. |    Why should I go to the Learning Skills Center? | | | You should go to the LSC for better grades, more effective writing, better communication skills, higher level of basic skills, more productive studying, improved reading skills and higher test scores. |    How does the Learning Skills Center propose to help me? | | | The LSC is staffed by competent, professional, nationally certified tutors who will work with you individually on a first come, first serve basis. Come by the LSC and give the staff a chance to assist you whether you are "topping the honor roll" or struggling to keep up. No appointment is necessary. The LSC is a valuable learning resource here on the MVC campus and is avaliable to you as long as you are a MVC student. All we ask is that you abide by the rules, which include siging in and out at the front computer, using the lab for academic purposes only, turning off cell phones and not bringing food or drink into the lab. |
