Library Instruction Classes
The librarians at Mountain View are available to present general library
orientations/information literacy classes or classes tailored to the
library needs of your class and assignments.

Students are much more interested in library sessions when they have
topics and deadlines assigned prior to their library visit and the
visit occurs just before they are ready to start their assignment.

Below are some examples of the types of instruction offered:

  • General Library Orientation (30 Minutes)
  • Searching the Online Catalog (40-50 Minutes)
  • Searching the Online Databases (40-50 Minutes)
  • Searching/Evaluating Internet Sources (40-50 Minutes)

To request library instruction, call the Reference Desk at (214-860-8527) or
fill out
Online Request Form
. (You will be sent a confirmation e-mail when received)
