Transfer to MVC

Maybe you tried a big university and decided it wasn't right for you. Or maybe you're home for the summer and want to pick up a few credit hours that will transfer easily to your "home" college. Whatever brings you to Mountain View College, we welcome you.

Please note that whether you're a transfer, transient or former student, the application and transfer process is the same for everyone (find out why). If you have earned credits from another college or university, visit How to Enroll for information on registering for MVC credit courses.

Why transfer to MVC?
  • A great education - MVC is committed to offering our students a quality education - starting with quality faculty. Academic core courses are taught by professors who have at least a master's degree. More than 25 percent have Ph.D.s. And they teach the same course content that the four-year colleges and universities use.
  • Classes that transfer - More than 75 percent of DCCCD students are enrolled in academic transfer courses. The district has transfer agreements with major universities such as University of North Texas, SMU, UTA, UTD, Baylor, Stephen F. Austin, UT Austin, Texas A&M and dozens more. DCCCD core courses transfer seamlessly ... guaranteed.
  • An affordable price - We offer a great educational value at $117 per three-credit-hour course, and we offer all the financial aid you need.
Convenient schedules and locations - With classes offered during the day, at night and on weekends, MVC makes it easy to balance school, work and family. There's a campus close to you - seven of them throughout Dallas County. And Dallas TeleCollege offers degrees online.
