To receive a diploma or certificate, you must complete an Application for Graduation in the Admissions Office (W140). You should apply for graduation one semester before you complete all your required courses. Check with the Admissions Office (W140) for the deadline for applying.

A graduation ceremony is held at the end of the spring semester. Information regarding the ceremony will be mailed to students who have submitted an Application for Graduation. Diplomas are not distributed at the ceremony. They will be mailed to students at a later date.
  • If you are going to attend this year’s graduation ceremony and have not informed the Admissions Office, please do so immediately!
  • Cap and gown purchases and graduation invitations are available at the Mountain View College Bookstore.
    Online Bookstore (Follett's: 214-331-5474)
  • Remove your cap and gown from the plastic bag at least 48 hours prior to the ceremony to allow the folds produced as a result of packaging to relax.
  • Ladies, attach the white collar to your gown in advance (safety pins work better than the tape that is enclosed with your gown)!
  • Suggested attire is dark pants and dark shoes for males and dark shoes for females.
  • Phi Theta Kappa regalia items may be purchased from the Recognitions Store at http://www.ptk.org/recognitions/catalog/07/graduation.  Members can also contact Recognitions toll-free by phone at 800-946-9996, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Central Standard Time.
  • Do not bring personal items (purses, cosmetic bags, cell phones, etc.) with you for the graduation line-up!  There is no place in the facility to secure your belongings.
  • Please arrive no later than 6:00 p.m.!
