For those who have a printed copy of the Faculty Handbook, this online version in Adobe Acrobat format may be useful because the links to additional information on the Internet are active, and both the bookmarks and the items in the Table of Contents can be clicked to jump to the desired section of the document. For any faculty or staff member, the Handbook is a useful source of information on DCCCD and MVC policies and procedures for human resources, instruction, student matters, business services, and emergencies. In addition, the Handbook is a valuable guide to the MVC Strategic Plan for 2001-2006.
Orientation
The Orientation for new science faculty gives practical guidance on sources of information at Mountain View, how to get things done, and an overview of some policies. You can find starting points for assistance for yourself and for your students. Although prepared for science faculty, the orientation may be useful for other faculty as well.
