The mission of the Business, Computer Science and Mathematics Division is to provide a rigorous educational foundation necessary for students to achieve the knowledge, intellectual curiosity, and job skills essential to compete in a wide range of college programs, university transfer, professional and technical careers.

The Department of Mathematics at Mountain View College is committed to helping students achieve excellence in their mathematics education and to enable them to succeed in their professional and personal goals.

Some of the options available to meet these objectives and best serve the student body are:
  • Placement testing to accurately identify student’s knowledge and skill levels.
  • Developmental classes to improve the student’s basic math skills
  • Freshman and sophomore level credit course that are transferable to most four-year universities.
  • Lecture and computer based courses offered days, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the student’s personal/work schedules.
