MISSION STATEMENT


The Fine Arts Division of MVC is dedicated to innovation and excellence in educating students to and in the Fine Arts. This effort is to maintain consistent intellectual growth, which enables students to successfully compete in the academic and professional marketplaces.
 

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION


Whether you are taking a few classes to complete a degree, want to brush up your skills, or seek to build an academic foundation to transfer to a 4-year university, MVC Arts has something for you!
 
Below are courses offered to fulfill a Humanities requirement toward an Associate Degree with DCCCD:
Art Appreciation, Dance Appreciation, Intro to Theater, Film Appreciation, Fine Arts Appreciation, and Music Appreciation.
 
In addition to course requirements a variety of credit classes in 2-D and 3-D Art, Dance, Drama, Humanities, Music, and Photography are also offered.

ALSO...
Non-Credit Continuing Education classes for personal enrichment are available and the Program for Seniors art and craft courses are available too.
