Attendance and/or tardy policy: Students are expected to attend class.

Type and number of examinations: Four exams, each consisting of multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay questions.

Other required quizzes: Six take-home essay quizzes based on primary sources in the Discovering book.

Q: How is the total grade earned?
A: Points are earned by completing the exams and quizzes.  A limited number of extra credit points are available.  A scale is used to translate the points earned to a letter grade at the end of the semester.

Q: What suggestions do you have for student who wants to succeed in your class?
A: Attend class and be engaged.  Use the Study Guide provided.  Read the texts.  Complete assignments thoroughly and on time.  Study.  Ask me questions about the subject matter. Enjoy the opportunity to learn!

Attendance and/or tardy policy: This is an online class; class participation is expected on the Discussion Board.  Assignments and exams must be completed on time.

Type and number of examinations: Four exams, each consisting of multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay questions.

Other required assignments: Three short essay reports on topics suggested in the Course Guide.  One KNAC (Knowledge in Action) term project (as described on the DVD-ROM).

A: Points are earned by completing the exams, reports, and KNAC project.  A limited number of extra credit points are available. A scale is used to translate the points earned to a letter grade at the end of the semester.
