What are the Dual Credit passing scores?
To enroll in college courses, students must present a passing score on the Accuplacer or Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA).
The following are the minimum test scores for students to be accepted in the Dual Credit program:
TAKS (exit level): 2200 in math and/or English language arts with a writing score of 3 or 4
SAT: 500 verbal, 500 math, 1070 composite
SAT II: 500 reading, 500 math, 1070 composite
ACT: 19 verbal, 19 math, 23 composite
ACCUPLACER: 78 reading, 80+ verbal with 5+ on essay, 69/64 college algebra
THEA: 230 reading, 220 writing, 270 math
