Fine Arts Appreciation (HUMA 1315) is available during all semesters
For some students, the only opportunities for the college experience occur on the weekends.  For that reason, Humanities 1315-Fine Arts Appreciation offers courses in a variety of structures:

  • Friday evening only
  • 5 Saturdays only (Hybrid of face-to-face plus online component)
  • 100% Online regular term
  • 100% Online Flex
In addition,
  • 8-week Flex
  • 100% Online (full semester)
  • 100% online Flex
  • Traditional two-session weekly (M/W or T/R), or three-session weekly (MWF)
Students enrolled in Humanities 1315-Fine Arts Appreciation engage in discussions and activities surrounding the Common Book during the Fall semesters.  Some of the course learning activities are designed to include family members as part of the FIPSE Project.

Fine Arts Appreciation (HUMA 1315) is available during the Fall, Spring, Winter Term, May Term and Summer semesters in either the online course format, face-to-face format, or hybrid format where a percentage of the instruction is online and the rest face-to-face.

Advanced Humanities (HUMA 1302) is recommended to those students interested in additional field study, or in pursuing an Associate of Arts with an Emphasis in Humanities Degree.  This is a special topics course focused on either individually specific or diverse subject areas.
