The Common Book Project at Mountain View College is a co-curricular interdisciplinary project that engages the students, employees and greater community in the collective experience of reading and discussing a common text.   During each spring semester, a new text is selected for exploration during the next academic year with the goal of selecting a text that has application across an array of academic disciplines.

  

A comprehensive slate of fall semester programming includes but is not limited to author lectures, performing arts events, visual arts exhibits and Café Conversations.   In the past, professors have integrated the Common Book into course sections in History, Spanish, Humanities, Biology, Art, English, Chemistry, Physics, Drama, Speech, Government, Cultural Studies and Developmental Writing.
